Beauty? What is beauty? Beauty is something universal and something personal: it’s an oscillation. For sure beauty is not a steady (still? defined?) thing: beauty is a movement, a walking, and in fact it moves our souls. It’s a celebration, because our heart touched by beauty feels joy and a ‘party’ in it. Beauty deals with people, not individuals: it needs a community to express itself. Beauty is the innervation of singing: light, electricity, joy and sharing.
Give your voice a couple of days of beauty immersion, opening your perception to sense a closer touch between your body and your singing.
Funktionalita Vocale is an approach of singing through the senses. Not the voice is leading but the senses (zintuigen). The more the body is present in our consciousness The more the voice is free to fly, like a kite. You switch on the senses like you switch on the light. We are going to have a collective body experience where we are going to use the forks and other sensorial stimulations to go deeper into the senses. To be open and to sing in an expanded way.
We’ll be immerged in nature, Herwjinen is a historic village and we will be close to a transparent river, with beautiful and majestic storks above us. What a place to go deeper and deeper in the beauty of singing. In a warm and open community, hand by hand, voice by voice.

Op maar liefst 6 verschillende lokaties in Amsterdam kunt u ons vinden. U kunt onze gevleugelde stemmen horen die reiken tot hoog in de lucht. Zoals ware engelen betaamt in tijden van kerst. Lichtvoetig, geschenken brengend, en een beetje plagend. Een waar kerstgeschenk
U zult de onvervalste ‘oude’ kerstliedjes horen, populaire meerstemmige kerstliedjes en meer onbekende anderstalige kerstliedjes.
Waar de christmas angels zijn is het feest. Je kunt natuurlijk altijd een liedje aanvragen en met ons meezingen. Kom ons aanschouwen en de magic van kerst alvast ‘inluiden’. Hopelijk ontmoeten we u op een van de straten in Amsterdam

Trust your voice and the music will sparkle!
This course is aimed at people who want to discover more of their voice in relation to world music and improvisation.
Everything focused on singing together, playing, instant composing and presentation. We will build your confidence through making your voice sing, movement, stretching, posture, grounding exercises, trusting your tone.
Theatre movement in Vocal Space (geannuleerd)
During this course, you will investigate how the two art disciplines Singing Improvisation and Theatre Movement empower and inspire each other. Where do they differ and where do they meet in various assignments? And what happens if we stage the theatrical and the vocal together on the floor?
What will you be doing?
We start the day with a thorough physical and vocal warming up. Then, together with the group, you will work with movement theater assignments such as ensemble work, Viewpoints and movement improvisation, followed by various lessons in vocal singing improvisation with exercises from Rhiannon’s ‘Vocal River improvisation’. In different formations we will work with rhythms, harmony and melody (solo), in which co-creation is the magic word.
In the second part of the course, we will investigate in smaller groups how vocal improvisation and movement improvisation relate to each other – using the theatrical space, group synergetic movement and use of voice. The ‘instant composing’ derived from vocal improvisation, which arises from movement, images, a song or a poem, forms the starting point for this interdisciplinary encounter. We end the day with an interdisciplinary performance/presentation.
